What drives people to love a great work of design?
It's when they realize that the piece of work has transformed by the simple act of the object having been observed. I enjoy likening it to Feynman's famous double-slit experiment mystery in quantum mechanics.
I always posit: “It's not me, It's you”, because I want the observer (or consumer) to understand they themselves are the final editors in chief.

DRAWING IS MY FAVORITE FORM OF THINKING
The big problem comes down to drawing out only from that which exists objectively, for you and for me. Drawing it out is not drawing it up in numbers and words, but drawing it out of reality itself. This is hard. It takes some focusing. It's a delicate balance, drawing away the economic forces from our activities and redirecting the energy back toward the hands that make, back to the places it needs to go. This sort of drawing begins by distancing yourself from your own work in order to heal it, and re-distracting it (metaphorically speaking) by re-appraising it all in order to draw it out and back again. Rinse, Repeat, Forever, For Always.
